What School Social Workers Can Do: Research-Based, Strength-Focused Interventions for Students with Behavioral Challenges and Lagging Skills

Learning Objectives: 

Increase your understanding of the role of the social worker in schools by learning how to reframe deficits into a strength-based plan that addresses lagging skills and promotes effective problem-solving. This session will also explore ways to infuse trauma-sensitive strategies into planning for students and families within the school setting. Participants will walk away with practical action steps they can immediately apply in their own practice.
